We have been told that the Central Match is the most challenging task for a dentist, this is because we have to replicate not just the patient anatomy and the position, but the final shade of the tooth. Historically this artistic task was related to the dental technician and by his skills based on his perception, they can deliver the ideal final ceramic. Nowadays we have new tools like digital dentistry and advances on tooth shade selection that we can almost match these properties in a mathematical and objective way. I want to simplify the shade technique selection, to be as predictable as it can be in our dental procedures, minimizing long working hours, and reducing the error factor.
