Digital tools in the management of the gummy smile
Gummy smile is an aesthetic concern in orofacial aesthetics, with a multifactorial etiology encompassing dental, skeletal, and muscular causes. Its management requires an interdisciplinary and comprehensive approach, both in diagnosis and during treatment planning, communication, and execution. In each of these phases, we can rely on digital tools to enhance the accuracy of our diagnosis, facilitate communication with the patient and interdisciplinary team, or streamline treatment execution.
