The talk will focus on debunking misconceptions about interdental brushes and highlighting their importance in oral hygiene. The relevance of interdental spaces will be addressed, and different interdental hygiene tools, as well as appropriate techniques for their effective use, will be presented. The prevalence and localization of diseases such as gingivitis and periodontitis will be discussed, emphasizing how interdental care can play a crucial role in preventing their development. Additionally, the accessibility and effectiveness of interdental brushes compared to other methods of oral hygiene will be analyzed.

The main objective will be to reveal to participants the fundamental importance of interdental spaces in oral health and provide them with practical advice and information that they can convey to their patients to increase awareness on this topic.
